My daughter loves being able to ring it herself when we're coming up behind walkers on the trail. The bell mounts solidly on her scooter's handlebar and hasn't budged once.

The ding is loud enough that people actually step aside on the sidewalk now, which was the whole point. My daughter rings it constantly, but honestly I'd rather hear that than have her sneak up on pedestrians.

My 4-year-old figured out the thumb lever on the first try, and now she dings it at every corner on our walk to preschool. It's small enough that it doesn't rattle around, and the sound carries far enough that I can hear her coming from the other end of the block.
