The spring on this replacement has just the right tension, so the button snaps out cleanly the moment I raise the handlebar to the top setting. Took about two minutes to swap in with a small screwdriver and it's been solid for a month of daily school runs.
Our Maxi's handlebar wouldn't stay up anymore, so I grabbed this locking button and spring and it popped right in. The button clicks out cleanly at the tallest setting now, just like when the scooter was new. For a couple of bucks it saved me from buying a whole new handlebar.
Snapped right into my Maxi and now the handlebar actually locks at the top setting again. The button pops out cleanly, though it took a little wiggling to seat the spring correctly. For a couple bucks it saved me from buying a whole new handlebar.
